FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:1. Who runs the club?The Fundy Gymnastics Club is operated by a volunteer EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE, with representation from parents of children in both the recreational and competitive programs. Parents interested in serving on the Executive, please contact any member of the executive for further information. Listing of current executive members is posted on the bulletin board and this web site. These positions are voted on yearly at the annual general meeting. The annual meeting is held in June (date and time to be posted on the bulletin board and in the newsletter).2. What does the Executive do?Fundy Executive members meet monthly. The Executive is involved with the business of operating the club. They are updated monthly on the various committees that exist within the club. They also receive a general update from the recreational program from the club administrator, and from the head coach of the competitive program. They are there to ensure that the club remains true to it's Mission Statement in all decisions that are made by the various committees and employees. Parents are encouraged to contact any member of the board with any items they would like to see added to the agenda for discussion at the next meeting. If this is a coaching issue, please first contact our head coach with the issue.3. How do I stay informed if my child is in the recreational program operated in the area schools?All communications for changes or cancellations are done through the Bell Aliant Talk mail system. Information is also posted on the Announcements page of this website. Messages can also be heard on the gym phone 506-847-4960For information on your child's progress or concerns, contact the head coach of that program after class. The club also prints a newsletter called the FLIK FLAK annually that will also be a source of information on upcoming events, fundraising activities. The bulletin board at the main gym on Enterprise Drive is also a source of information.4. How do I get involved in FUNDRAISING and/or CLUB ACTIVITIES?The club welcomes parents as volunteers. The success of our club is based on the active participation of the parents. Depending on the time you want to give, there is a lot you can do. We have a variety of activities that you can participate in. For example;** selling/buying of cheese. Being involved in our chocolate bar campaign. ** participating in events sponsored by the club, competitions and gym shows.** providing baked goods for sale at our canteen.** serving on the Executive.5. What other activities does Fundy Gymnastics sponsor?Our club operates a Summer Camp Program every year. The camps operate in July and August at the main gym on Enterprise Drive, in Quispamsis. Camps are open to all children (with the exception of Competitive Only camps).Hope this has helped you to learn more about our club and how you can be involved.
