PAYMENT

WHAT IS THE $45 REGISTRATION FEE?

All participants are required to pay a $45 Registration Fee once per season.

The Club's season runs from September 1 to August 30 each year.

The fee is not pro-rated if registration occurs later in the season, e.g. Session 2 (December) or Session 3 (March).

The Registration Fee includes an Insurance fee that is paid to the New Brunswick Gymnastics Association, and registers your child with Gymnastics Canada.  The remaining money covers program administrative costs and CANGym program resources.

A Copy of the Insurance Certificate and Insurance Liability Policy can be downloaded here: Insurance Certificate, Insurance Policy.

HOW DOES THE WAITLIST FEATURE WORK ON ONLINE REGISTRATION?

Waitlists are provided for Parent & Tot, KinderGym, Beginner Recreation, Intermediate Recreation, Advanced Recreation and Tumbling & Trampoline. Enrolment onto waitlist is done through our online registration.

There is not a limit to the number of classes that an individual can waitlist for however, waitlist spaces are class specific.

Here is how it works - Should a space become available, the first person on the waiting list for that particular class will be contacted via the email, or phone number provided in their online account.

We advise if classes are full for participants to enrol online onto a waitlist as our gymnastics programs run over three sessions - Fall, Winter and Spring. After a session concludes, anyone currently enrolled gets an option to reenrol. Should they choose not to, we then will contact individuals on our waiting lists within respective classes.

WHAT IS THE REFUND POLICY?

If you are not completely satisfied immediately AFTER your first class Fundy Gymnastics Club will provide a full refund for the class tuition only,  the Registration Fee is non-refundable.

You must contact us within 48 hours after the first scheduled class.  After that, we will give a refund for the remaining classes ONLY if a medical note is provided for injury or illness.

All withdrawals will be subject to a $25 administrative fee.

HOW DO I WITHDRAW FROM THE RECREATION PROGRAM?

In the event that you need to drop your child from our Recreation Program, notification of withdrawal must be received via e-mail or telephone at least 2 weeks prior to the start of each new session.

Failure to provide adequate notice will result in you being charged for the next session.

E-mail: fundygymnastics@live.ca

Telephone: 506 847 4960

ALL children will be dropped from classes at the end of the season in June (Session 3).

CAN MY CHILD SWITCH CLASS TIME AND OR DAYS?

Yes, depending upon availability in the desired class.

WHAT IS THE MAKEUP POLICY?

Due to our strict student to instructor, missed classes will not result in make-up classes, prorated tuition or refunds.

In the event where Fundy Gymnastics Club is responsible for a missed/canceled class, a make-up will be scheduled; however, in the event a make-up cannot be scheduled, the member shall be issued a credit note applicable to other sessions or products redeemable at Fundy Gymnastics Club or a refund for the portion missed.

All make-up classes must be made up during the same session as the one in which they were missed.

WEATHER CANCELLATIONS

Fundy Gymnastics Club will cancel classes at its own discretion due to weather related situations. We do not always close the gym when the schools are closed.

Depending on the conditions on the day of the storm the gym may reopen for the afternoon / evening classes. A final decision for the afternoon / evening classes will be made no later than 1.00pm.

If there is school throughout the day and snow conditions worsen into the evening we will make the call to cancel our classes by 4:00pm.

If the weather is doubtful please call ahead Tel: 506-847-4960

The gym will make every effort to reopen as soon as possible, however, the safety of our staff and members is our priority. If the gym reopens for classes later in the day it is your responsibility to make the decision to travel. Please check the road conditions in your local area before venturing out to class.

In the event of extreme snow fall or other adverse weather conditions, we will send families an email and announce it on our Facebook page and Website. Please call if in doubt.

For classes held on the weekend, please check your emails, and the Facebook page at least an hour before your class is due to start for information on cancellations.

Classes cancelled due to "acts of nature" WILL NOT be rescheduled.

WHAT SHOULD MY CHILD WEAR?

WHAT IS YOUR POLICY ON PARENT VIEWING?

Parents and spectators are welcome to watch their child’s session in the dedicated viewing areas.

Please help your child to develop listening skills and autonomy by observing the following:

Please do not drop your child off early without supervision and be on time to pick-up your child.

For safety reasons, Fundy Gymnastics does not allow parents or family members inside the gym unless they are participating in the Parent and Tot Program.

WHAT IS THE CANGYM BADGE PROGRAM?

The CanGym Badges program is a nationally recognized curriculum for recreational gymnastics.  It is a 14-level skill-based program.  At each level, there are skills that must be achieved to move onto the next level. This program is for children ages 5 (school age) and up.  This program is based on ability and NOT on age.  Although we cannot guarantee it, we always attempt at creating classes for children of similar ages.

There are approximately 20 skills per badge.  At the end of each session, each child receives a Report Card, clearly indicating which skills have been learning/attempted (L) and mastered (√). In order to pass a particular badge, a child must master all of the elements on the Report Card.

These key program skills have been selected to ensure a clear progression from one badge to the next, ultimately leading to the key skills that are contained in the Gold Badge.

Please take note that progress through the various levels depends on each child’s abilities and efforts and that, as such, it may take more than one session of classes for a child to pass a particular level.

Class Levels:

These CANGym badges are divided up over the three class levels offered at Fundy.

BEGINNER: Badges 1 (burgundy), 2 (red), 3 (tan,) and 4 (bronze)

INTERMEDIATE: Badges 5 (purple), 6 (blue,) badges 7 (turquoise) and 8 (silver)

ADVANCED: Badges 9 (orange), 10 (yellow), and 11 (green)

FUNDY GYMNASTICS CLUB ANNUAL GYM SHOW

The Annual Gym Show takes place at the Lord Beaverbrook Arena at the end of Session 3, in June.  It is a celebration of gymnastics for our participants, coaches and parents alike.

Children will work with their coaches in Session 3 to create a choreographed group performance to music; they will also perform a gymnastics circuit that demonstrates the skills they have been learning.  The Show is also an opportunity for our spectators to view other groups within our program and their performances from the beginner levels, through to Canadian National Level competitors.

Gymnastics is an artistically based, performance activity including a wide range of movements of agility, balance and coordination.  Fundy Gymnastics Club embraces the performance aspect of the sport, similar to dance, by providing an opportunity for children to partake in the end of year display.
